Music

Erin Krebs is the recipient of the 2018 WAMI award for Jazz Vocalist. She is respected and renown for her passionate approach to jazz and blues. Her partner, guitar legend Jeff Johnston, will accompany her as she sings some soulful standards and maybe an original tune or two. Thank you Erin for coming back to Waupaca, we love you!

Barb Achten has been singing in the Waupaca area for years… Most recently heard at Wautopia in the group “Just One More.” (otherwise known as “Hellvation Nation!) Barb  takes solo stage tonight,  and promises to delight!

Connie Tomski (The Atomics) joins on-and-off-again partner in musical crime, Marci Beaucoup (Auntie Up, Baba Ghanooj) for a 60’s flashback. Get your Bacharach on, these ladies will show you the way. Maybe an original from Ms. Beuacoup, depending on how the night flows….

Astarte Kunz is a young woman in high school who has been raised to play the guitar from her grandpappy, and has a delightfully present voice. There is hope!

Arian Marchand is driven to perfect her singing, and tonight we will be given the chance to appreciate her hard work. Beautifully rendered songs await!

Acacia Rank, who touched a piano for the first time in March of 2018, will be playing a familiar tune for us to enjoy.

Spoken Word

Jane “Tree” Peterson’s long rich career as a midwife paved the way for her insightful poetry. Listen and be affected as Tree reads aloud poems chosen especially for this gathering, accompanied by the ethereal sounds of the harp, played by Tammie Jo Berg.

Adrianna Koll will share her poignant and moving story about her path to and eventual securing US citizenship.

Shannon Anderson a local author and writing advocate, will read from her latest work.

Comedy

Barb Laedtke and Monica Reeves are back, and they will get keep laughing with a new “skit” for Chick Night 2019!

Dance

Susan Talarico and daughter Lenora Janssen will transport us to another dimension through their beautifully choreographed dance, created especially for Chick Night. Enjoy the beauty, the colors, the movement, the expression of love.

Participation

We will ask you to join in singing a new song and a familiar one….(you can do it!) We also have a creative and introspective project planned, to be revealed by our Emcee Tammie Jo Berg!
