Join us for 4 free outdoor concerts, Family Art Projects and more, Wednesday nights at South Park, 7pm

Come ready to dance and enjoy the music of 4 incredibly entertaining bands, while overlooking the beauty of Shadow Lake at South Park!

June 19:  Art Stevenson and High Water

Since 1993, Art Stevenson & High Water have been Wisconsin's most sought-after bluegrass show.  Join us for a great concert featuring:

Art Stevenson - guitar, harmonica, bass, vocals
Stephanie Stevenson - bass, guitar vocals
Dale Reichert - banjo, Dobro, vocals
Bruce King - mandolin, vocals

Traditional bluegrass, original songs, duet, trio, and quartet singing, banjo, mandolin, and harmonica!  We are happy to bring this excellent bluegrass band to Waupaca's Summer Nights!!!!

FAMILY ART PROJECT:  Haiku Workshop! A Haikuis a short Japanese poem used to evoke images. Join WCAB Poets to practice the art of creating your own original Haiku poems!  All ages welcome!   Haiku writing workshops starts at 5:30 PM.

FOOD:  Enjoy food from Schueller's Great Exspecthations under the pavilion!  

July 17:  Hip Pocket

Hip Pocket is a powerful 10-piece band with striking lead and harmony vocals, a blazing four piece horn section, and a powerful rhythm section.

Hip Pocket plays your favorite classic rock, R&B, and jazz with a little bit of Cajun, country rock, and Latin-infusion hits!

Hip Pocket charmed us at the Friday Night Street Dance in 2018, so we just had to have them back to Waupaca!  Be ready to dance to this exciting tight band!!!

FAMILY ART PROJECT:  Paint a Canvas for the Emerging Artist's Tent!  Kids are invited to join Artist Janet Graves to paint an actual canvas with acrylic paints!  Become a "real artist" and go through the process of creating, and then selling, your work!  The final creation will be hung in the Emerging Artists Tent at Arts on the Square in August!  Maybe your work will sell!   Limited seating, come early to get your spot in this very hands on workshop!  Be prepared to paint:  wear an old shirt.  All supplies courtesy of The Paint Store!  5:30 PM

Stephen Cooper has been a bandleader, sideman, and touring musician for over 25 years.  In that time, he has played in 21 states and 7 countries with numerous groups, most namely WiFEE and the HUZz BAND and The Groove Hogs.  Deeply rooted in jazz, r&b, and blues, Coop draws in vocal influences such as Amy Winehouse, Otis Redding, Stevie Wonder, and Al Green, while also being a highly accomplished saxophonist and instrumental soloist.  Join us for this great show and be ready to dance!!!!

We know you will love Stevie Cooper and his band, as his former group rocked Arts on the Square Friday Night Street Dance in 2017!

FAMILY ART PROJECT:  Gravel Road Farms Fresh Flower Crowns and more!  Kids are invited to join Brigid from Gravel Road Farms to create fun items out of fresh flowers.  Crowns, wrist-lettes, boutineers will be made from the beautiful bounty from Gravel Road Farm.   Workshop includes all supplies and is free!  5:30 PM

Bonus:  Brigid will be on hand with her Flower Cart, and hand selected bouquets of fresh flowers can be purchased for a fee  throughout the concert!

August 14:  Paul Cebar and Tomorrow Sound 


Paul Cebar Tomorrow Sound are the last word in Tomorrow Sounds. Benefitting from years of unassuming and understated hipness,they bring forth a funky and lyrically charged racket that sits comfortably with soulful sounds the world over. Intricate but free-swinging, explosive yet intimate and fresh and green as grass.

Paul Cebar is a true Milwaukee Legend, and we are so excited to be able to bring him to the shores of Shadow Lake as we complete our 2019 Summer Night Series!  You do not want to miss this one!

FAMILY ART PROJECT:  Come paint a special rock, and then find a home for it somewhere in the park!!!  5:30 PM

*Admission:  Just bring a donation for the Waupaca Food Pantry!  Oh, and bring some cash so you can participate in our 50/50 raffle!  You might win!!!  (and we will, too!)

**Family Art Projects: begin at 5:30pm, with artist-led activities to help you express your creative side.  All ages welcome to participate.  This summer, we will be creating artwork to go in to our "Emerging Artists" tent at Arts on the Square!  Kids, we can't wait to create a kid's art  gallery!  Help us fill it up!!!  More info soon!!!

***Food:   provided by various food  vendors, and beverages (soda, water and beer!) available for purchase.  Stay tuned for menus of our carefully selected vendors who will be providing delicious food!  Come Hungry!
