June 24:  Copper Box

Copper Box is a Roots/Americana quartet loaded with energy and a mountain of instruments, influenced by blues, jazz, rock, and polka. Danny Jerabek (accordion extraordinaire, keys, percussion, vocals, cornet, sousaphone, etc.) and his wife, Michelle (Thull) Jerabek (baritone saxophone, vocals, guitar, percussion, etc.) both were nominated for several WAMI Awards including 2017 Reeds/Brass Award (Michelle), Specialty Instrumentalist of the Year 2011 & 2010 (Danny Jerabek) and Americana Artist of the Year 2009 & 2012. Both started performing with their family on stage at an early age.  We are happy to bring this excellent band back to Waupaca to perform at Waupaca's Summer Nights!!!!

FAMILY ART PROJECT:  Drawn Together by Kindness:  last chance to make a flag for this ambitious community art project! Workshop starts at 5:30 PM.

FOOD:  Food TBD, check back!!!

July 8:  Alex Wilson

A versatile musician, Alex effortlessly switches between genres. He plays everything from sweet Beale Street blues to West coast swing. From
hard Texas grinders to stone cold Chicago grooves with a feeling that’s said to be timeless. Alex’s style and tasty originals matched with his undeniable stage presence and unmistakable guitar style will drive you to the dance floor.
His long-awaited and freshly nominated debut CD, Tell Me Why, has been released on “Rathskeller Records”.
To say that Alex Wilson is one to look out for down the road is an understatement. Taking the Midwest by storm, this young musician is a force to be reckoned with.

FAMILY ART PROJECT:  Drawn Together by Kindness Banners:  You've seen those big beautiful banners that hang form the poles downtown Waupaca?  We are going to make some, custom designed by you!  They will be installed during ARTicipation Week, as part of the Waupaca Community Arts Board's 2020 Community Art Project!  Bring your creativity and your ideas of what kindness means to you!  Starts at 5:30.

FOOD: TBD.  Check Back!

Adept at both guitar and piano, Genevieve writes the songs she sings, songs firmly rooted in the contemporary, with faint hints of tendrils running deep toward the influence of old footsteps. She’s opened for Grammy winners, and shared the stage with national touring acts and performers who have written songs for some of the biggest names in music. A fixture of local café open mics, Genevieve cut her teeth performing, playing in front of both small handfuls and crowds of thousands. She’s as comfortable with Tin Pan Alley as she is today’s teen pop, and tells you with a voice built to bewilder – equal parts soft and smoky, and smooth as fresh Wisconsin butter.  Genevieve will start out the evening at 6:30 pm.

Baba Ghanooj is a locally famous band that has been playing together for so long that even those who are not blood relation are considered family.  Over 25 years of playing together in Baba, plus another 25 years for at least half of them who grew up playing music together explains why it sounds like they practice a lot. It’s in their dna.  Listen as they play songs form Steely Dan, Tom Petty, the Beatles and some fabulous original gems.  They have a lot of love for each other, and their listeners/dancers, and this gets translated in to a sound that is tight, energetic and just a lot of fun for all.

Baba Ghanooj will play the second set of this double header evening at South Park!

FOOD: Brat Fry with Vegetarian Options, food by the Waupaca Historical Society.

August 5:  MoJoe and Flipside

MoJoe & Flipside is a Central Wisconsin band of talented musicians. Funky-Blue Americana best describes their style music. Featured musicians are Joe Fittante, Jim Prideaux, Tony Wagner, Charlie Sauter & Bill Jordan.  Waupaca loves MoJoe, and you will too!  Be ready to dance to this incredible band!
