We’re offering a short tutorial video for our last 2021 Winter Craft Café Kit -- Marbleized Mugs. Here, we demonstrate and demystify how to make beautiful marbleized coffee mugs using water, nail polish, and dishwasher-safe Mod Podge. Pick up one of our 60 free kits between April 18-May, 1, 2021 at the Waupaca Library. Kits are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once you learn how, you'll want to make a whole set! Luminaries
Jan. 17-30
The winter days of January are short and cold. Jan. 21 is National Hugging Day. Hugs are loving, caring, therapeutic and celebratory. Since we can’t hug many of those we love, the golden glow of the candle is like giving a hug to those who see it. Create a paper bag luminary to light the night and share a hug. Our kits include a realistic battery tealight with automatic timer to make lighting safe, easy, and automatic! If we all light them on National Hugging Day, then we can give Waupaca a collective hug!
Luminary kits can be picked up at the Waupaca Library, curbside .

Cento Poetry
Jan. 24-Feb. 6
The Cento — or patchwork — poem dates back to the second century. It’s easy, and surprisingly addictive. To help you weave your patchwork of borrowed phrases into a poem, we’ve added a modern twist — magazine clippings! Find the just-right phrases or words in the provided clippings that express your feelings for another person, a beloved pet, a special place, a favorite hobby, or just life. It’s up to you. Once you create your Valentine’s poem from the phrases you find, add some of the included artistic touches to the card — or anything from your own home — to finish it off. When you’re done, you will have a very personal and special project celebrating something that is dear and special to you. Kits with instructions can be picked up at the Waupaca Library, curbside.

Coasters
Feb. 16-Mar. 2
Create your own coaster! Our kit includes a 4x4 ceramic tile, scrapbook paper, Mod Podge, a foam sponge brush, & one piece of self adhesive cork for a non-slip backing. Feel free to get creative, and add things from your own house, or write a message in Sharpie! Then Mod Podge a final moisture-proof top coat, and viola, you have created a beautiful coaster! Complete kits can be picked up at the Waupaca Library, curbside.

Puzzle Art
Mar. 14-27
Raise your hand if you’ve put together at least one jigsaw puzzle during “Safer-at-Home”. Raise your hand if you’ve done a puzzle only to find there are pieces missing – ugh! Now raise your hand if you’d like to transform those puzzle pieces into a “folk-artsy” masterpiece!
We’ve gathered together thousands of puzzles pieces, divided them into 85 bags, and added a canvas of foam board and some glue in each bag! You just provide the artistic vision, and anything else from home to complete your masterpiece! Complete kits can be picked up at the Waupaca Library, curbside.

Mother’s Day Marbleized Mugs
April 18-May 1
A nail polish water bath creates these beautiful mugs. You chose the color combination at pick-up! Don’t like your first attempt? Simply use nail polish remover, and start over! So easy! A dishwasher-safe, non-toxic top coat finishes it off with a simple foam brush. Great Mother’s Day gift project. Plus WCAB will post step by step video instructions in April.
