Headliner- Streetlife

7:30 - 9:30 p.m.

Streetlife, a Milwaukee based R&B group with roots in contemporary jazz, was the Official Band of the Milwaukee Bucks basketball team for over 20 years. Originating in the Fox Valley, Streetlife transitioned to Milwaukee when drummer Tony Wagner and the award-winning saxophonist Warren Wiegratz joined forces after a show at Summerfest. During the 90's and through its tenure with the Bucks, Streetlife played concerts across the U.S. and was an annual fixture at the WAMI awards show. Most years the band earned WAMI's in several categories. Also busy in the studio, Streetlife recorded 4 CD's, and made appearances on many television shows. Streetlife performed concerts in the Waupaca area once drummer and co-leader Tony Wagner moved to Waupaca in 2001. After Tony left the band, Streetlife continued as the Bucks band until they moved to the Fiser Forum. For the last ten years, the band has played reunion shows several times per year. The Summer Nights kick-off show will feature Warren on saxophone/keyboards, along with Milwaukee’s Joe Jordan on vocals, guitar virtuoso Peter Mac, master bassist Eric Hervey, along with Tony on drums.
